How do I cancel a payment?

You may only cancel a payment if it appears in your account 'Activity', under ‘Pending payments’ and, when you click on it, the status shows as Unclaimed. You’ll notice a ‘Cancel’ button next to the payment.

To cancel a pending/unclaimed payment:

  1. Go to Activity.
  2. Find the payment you'd like to cancel, and click Cancel.
Once a payment’s status shows as ‘Completed', it can no longer be cancelled. You can instead request a refund from the recipient. Send the recipient an email asking them to find the payment in their ‘Activity’, click on it and then click Issue a refund.

If someone refuses to issue a refund but you feel you’re entitled to one, you may open a dispute.
