What is PayPal Fundraisers and how does it work?

PayPal Fundraisers is a way for you to create a fundraiser for yourself, someone else, a group, business, or a charity. You can also donate and share fundraisers raising money for a variety of causes.

It’s only possible to use a Personal PayPal account to create a PayPal Fundraiser. You can raise a maximum of £20,000 GBP and run the fundraiser for up to 30 days. You can create one fundraiser at a time.

PayPal Fundraisers for charity operates a little differently – anyone can create a fundraiser to benefit a charity. There’s no limit to the number of fundraisers you can create to benefit charities and there’s no limit to the amount you can raise to support them.

Charities that aren’t enrolled in PayPal Giving Fund are included in the PayPal Fundraising process. While unenrolled charities don’t have a PayPal account, they’ve been verified to be in good standing by PayPal Giving Fund.

Enrolled charities receive donations into their PayPal account whereas unenrolled charities receive donations via mailed check.

If you're a charity and want to benefit from a fundraiser or other donations raised through the PayPal app or website, please enrol with PayPal Giving Fund
