Why did I get result code 99?

PayPal presented result code 99 - General Error or EDC not available.

Your merchant account isn't active, or your processor account information on file with PayPal is incorrect.

Here's how to resolve this error:
  • Contact your merchant bank to determine whether your account is active.
  • If it is active, get your processor account information.
  • Forward the information to Payflow Support by email at: payflow-support@paypal.com. Include your login ID and ask to have the processor information verified.

Note: Payflow Pro Australia merchants can get result code 99 when the card number is invalid. Ask the customer to use a different credit card or method of payment.
