What does "Uncleared" mean?

An Uncleared payment refers to an eCheque that is in the process of being approved and transferred to the recipient's PayPal account. This process can take up to 4 days. It is best not to send the product until the status of the transaction is "Cleared" and you have been paid. The Expected Clearing Date is shown next to the status of the transaction. For more information, click the question mark (?). This date is an estimate. Actual clearing dates depend on factors that PayPal can’t control, such as delays in the banking system or processing errors at individual banks.

Once the funds have been cleared, you’ll see Cleared in the status section of the Account Overview page.
