What if the name on my PayPal account and bank account are different?

To ensure successful transfers and withdrawals, the name on your PayPal Singapore account should match the name on your bank account.

If the name on your bank account differs in any way, check with your bank to make sure that transfers will go through. If they won’t, you’ll need to update the name on your bank account or the name on your PayPal account.

We can help you change the name on your PayPal account if it's misspelled or if you've legally changed your name. However, it's not possible to change the name on your account to another person's name.

Here’s how to request for a name change on your account:
  1. Click Settings.
  2. Click Edit beside your name.
  3. Select the type of change you would like to make.
  4. Follow the instructions provided to complete the name change process.

You may need to submit supporting documents depending on the type of change you're making. If so, we’ll review them within 3 to 5 business days and contact you once our review is complete.
