How do I change my backup payment method?
You can change your backup payment method before you send a payment via PayPal. Here’s how:
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click Send and Request at the top of the page.
- Click Pay for goods or services.
- Enter the required information and click Continue.
- Click Change under Payment Method.
- Select the backup payment method you would like to use.
- Click Continue.
- Review the information and click Send Payment to complete your transaction.

How do I change the payment method when I make a payment? When making a payment, you can change your payment method by clicking More Funding Options under Payment Method on the Review page.
