Why can’t I make a PayPal payment with my American Express card?

At the moment, PayPal doesn’t support the following currencies when a payment is made using an American Express card:

  • Brazil Real (BRL)
  • Israel Shekel (ILS)
  • Malaysian Ringgit (MYR)
  • Mexico Peso (MXN)
  • Philippine Peso (PHP)
  • South African Rand (ZAR)
  • New Taiwan Dollar (TWD)
  • Thai Baht (THB)
  • Turkey Lira (TRY)

To continue with your payment, please go to your Wallet and add another cards or a US bank account. You can also use a Singapore bank account to top up your PayPal account for the payment, which takes 4-6 business days.
