What is the Payouts API and how do I enable it on my account?

Use the Payouts API to make PayPal payments to multiple PayPal accounts in a single API call. You can specify the recipients by using their PayPal email addresses, phone numbers, or encrypted PayPal account numbers. For more information about Payouts, see Send money to multiple recipients with Payouts

You can request access to the Payouts API by:

  • Logging into your PayPal business account and selecting Payouts under Pay & Get Paid.
  • Contacting your PayPal Account Manager.
  • Contacting PayPal Customer Support.

A PayPal business account is required to use the Payouts API.

Important: Effective 1 April 2021, PayPal no longer offers domestic payment services in India. As a result of this, PayPal Payments Private Limited users cannot use Indian rupees (INR) to receive payments. This change, however, has no impact on PayPal’s international services. Users in India can continue to send and receive international payments in US dollars (USD).
