How do I close my dispute or claim?

Make sure that you’re 100% satisfied with how the case was resolved before closing it. If the seller offered to refund your money, for example, make sure that the money is in your PayPal account before you close the case.

Once a case is closed, it can’t be reopened or escalated to a claim.

Here's how to close a case:

  1. Go to your Resolution Center. (The Resolution Center is only accessible on a web browser, not the PayPal app.)
  2. Click View next to the dispute you want to close.
  3. Click Close this dispute.
  4. Let the seller know why you're closing the dispute, then click Close dispute.
