Where can I use PayPal with Google Pay?

You can use your PayPal account with Google Pay in 3 ways:

  • To make purchases in any store that accepts Mastercard Contactless Payments.
  • When shopping in an app.
  • When checking out in the Chrome mobile browser.

In store:

When you use PayPal with Google Pay to pay in-store, we’ll use the balance on your account to pay for the transaction. If there isn’t enough money in your PayPal balance, we'll automatically use your bank or debit card to add money in increments of $10.00 USD to your balance to cover the purchase.

Using Chrome mobile browser:

If you check out using PayPal with Google Pay from the Chrome mobile browser, you'll see the option to pay with PayPal. You can simply put your finger on your phone's fingerprint scanner to complete the purchase.

Online or in app:

You can choose PayPal from within the Google Pay wallet anywhere you see the Google Pay button. If you haven’t added PayPal to your Google Pay wallet, you’ll go through linking PayPal account to Google Pay.
