You can only upgrade your personal or premier account to a business account if you are a sole trader. For all other business types, you’ll need to open a new business account with a different email address and bank account.

Here's how you can upgrade your PayPal account:

1. Click the Settings cog next to log out.
2. Click Upgrade to a business account under "Account options".
3. Follow the instructions on screen to upgrade your account.
