How do I cancel a dispute or claim?

You can close a dispute if you’ve reached a resolution with your seller. However, make sure that you’re 100% satisfied with how the dispute is resolved before closing it. Once a dispute is closed, it can't be reopened or escalated to a claim.

For example, if the seller offers to refund your money, make sure the money is back in your PayPal account before you close the dispute.

Here's how to cancel a dispute or claim:

  1. Go to the Resolution Center.
  2. Select "Open Cases" from the list and locate the transaction.
  3. Click the case that you would like to cancel.
  4. Click Mark this problem as resolved.
  5. Click Confirm.
