What is a chargeback fee?
A chargeback happens when a buyer asks their credit card issuer to reverse a transaction after it has been completed. When it’s filed, the amount of the transaction and the chargeback fee will be deducted from the seller’s PayPal account.
If you’re eligible for PayPal Seller Protection, we’ll reimburse you the full amount of the transaction and waive the chargeback fee.
If you aren’t eligible for the Seller Protection, we may still be able to help you dispute the chargeback with the credit card issuer. To do so, we’ll need you to provide us with the necessary information through the Resolution Center within the required timeframe.
