I forgot my password. How do I reset my password?

If you forgot your password, you can reset your password following the steps below:
  1. Click Reset my password.
  2. Enter the email address that you registered in your PayPal account, and click Next.
  3. Select your preferred option to confirm your account ownership, and click Next.
  4. Follow the instructions on the page.
You can also reset your password through our automated phone system. You’ll need to verify the last 4 digits of your bank account or credit card number registered in your PayPal account to prove that you’re the rightful account owner. Please have your information ready before calling us. Click to find our phone number.

When you call to reset your password, we'll give you a 5-digit code and send you an email. Please click the link in the email and enter the 5-digit code. Then you’ll be able to create a new password and select 2 security questions for your account.
