Common issues when adding debit or credit cards

When you link your debit or credit card to your PayPal account, please keep these security measures in mind:

  • The billing address you enter must exactly match the one on your card statement. Check your card statement to make sure that the addresses match.
  • A card can only be linked to one PayPal account at a time. (To remove a card from your account, go to your Profile.)
  • If you linked your card to your PayPal account but entered the confirmation code incorrectly 5 times, please call us. We can help you finish linking your card. We may ask you to provide some additional information.
