Share your unique referral link with business owners that don’t already have a PayPal business account.

They will have to use your unique referral link to sign up and set up their PayPal business account.

Once they receive payment for one or more sales transactions totaling at least HKD $150 within the first 60 days of signing up, you will earn HKD $800 per such successful referral.*

*Terms and Conditions

  1. For a limited time only, PayPal Hong Kong Limited (“PayPal”) is offering selected PayPal customers (“you” or “your”) the following incentives:
    1. A reward of HKD $800 (“Referral Offer”) up to a maximum of HKD $8,000 (“Offer Cap”) when you (“referrer”) refer another person (“referee”) to sign up for a PayPal Business account. This Referral Offer will be available to you (as the referrer) for a period of 120 days from the date you first receive the invitation email (“Validity Period”),
      or
    2. A reward of HKD $150 per referee (“Sign Up Offer”). This Sign Up Offer will be available to each referee for 60 days from the date such referee completes the sign up through a unique referral link provided by the relevant referrer.
      (Each referred to in these terms and conditions as the “Offer”).
  2. For Referrers to be eligible to participate and receive the Referral Offer:
    1. You must hold a valid and subsisting PayPal business account in Hong Kong, registered with PayPal Hong Kong Limited;
    2. Your PayPal account must be in good standing;
    3. Your referee must not be an existing PayPal business account holder. To proceed, your referee must click on the unique referral link provided in the email to sign up for a PayPal business account.
    4. Your referee(s) must complete all of the following:
      1. Successfully sign up for a Hong Kong PayPal business account, registered with PayPal, during the Validity Period;
      2. Receive at least a total of HKD $150 in commercial payments into their PayPal account within the first 60 days of signing up, via a PayPal checkout flow (excluding Invoice payments); and
      3. The referee’s PayPal business account must be in good standing at the time the rebate is processed.
    5. If the criteria set out above are met, PayPal will credit your PayPal account with HKD $800 per successful referral. You can receive up to a maximum of HKD $8,000 for up to a total of 10 unique successful referrals.
  3. For referees - to be eligible to participate and receive the Sign Up Offer:
    1. You must sign up for a Hong Kong PayPal business account using the unique referral URL that was sent by the referrer.
    2. You must receive at least a total of HKD $150 in commercial payments into your PayPal business account within the first 60 days of signing up. This must be received via a checkout flow and excludes invoicing payment flows.
    3. Your PayPal business account must be in good standing at the time the offer is processed.
    4. If you meet the criteria set out above, PayPal will credit your PayPal account with a one-time incentive of HKD $150. This Sign Up Offer is limited to one (1) HKD $150 reward per eligible referee.
  4. Details of domestic and international commercial payment fees can be found in Exhibit A of the User Agreement. Any additional fees such as currency conversion fees or chargeback fees will not be refunded as part of this Offer.

  5. Your eligible rewards, will be credited to your PayPal balance within approximately 30 days from the time the eligibility requirements to receive the relevant Offer as set out in clause 2 or 3 above (as the case may be) are fulfilled.

  6. The Offer is subject to availability and PayPal reserves the right to terminate, withdraw and/or change any part or all of the Offer or these terms and conditions at any time.

  7. PayPal shall, at its sole discretion, determine the PayPal account holders who are eligible to participate in the Offer. PayPal reserves the right to review any account or transaction related to this Offer, in its sole discretion, without notice, and delay completion of the Offer. PayPal has the sole and absolute right to disqualify any person from redeeming the Offer.

  8. The Offer shall be void where prohibited or if a participant’s account or transactions are fraudulent, abusive, not completed through legitimate channels, or irregular in any way.

  9. If for any reason, the Offer is not capable of running as planned, including, without limitation, due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of PayPal, PayPal reserves the right in its sole discretion take any action that may be available, including to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Offer.

  10. Any questions relating to the Offer will be resolved in PayPal’s sole discretion and its decisions related to the Offer and these terms and conditions will be final and binding.

  11. By participating in the Offer, you agree to these terms and conditions.

  12. Notwithstanding anything herein, PayPal shall not at any time be responsible or held liable for any defect or malfunction in the Offer, and/or for any loss, injury, damage or harm suffered or incurred by or in connection with the use of the Offer by any person.
