Octopus O! ePay Mobile Top-up Service Termination

From October 1, our customers will no longer be able to use Octopus O! ePay to top-up their PayPal Hong Kong accounts. PayPal and Octopus have made the mutual decision to withdraw this service. Octopus Cards Limited remains an important partner to us and together we will continue to explore opportunities to collaborate in the future.

1. When will the termination of Octopus O! ePay Top-Up Service be effective?
The service will be terminated on Tuesday, 1 October 2019. And from Thursday, 15 August 2019 onwards, you won't be able to link your PayPal account to Octopus O! ePay account.

2. Do I need to do anything for the termination?
No action is required from you.

3. Will any information will be transmitted to Octopus?
As a result of the termination, no additional information will be transmitted to Octopus.

4. How can I top up my PayPal account after the withdrawal of the mobile top-up service?
You can top up your PayPal balance by making a local interbank transfer.
