How do I open a dispute?

Here's how to file a dispute:

  1. Log in to your PayPal Account.
  2. Click Resolve a problem in our Resolution Centre near the bottom of the page.
  3. You will have the option of:
    - Clicking Dispute a Transaction, or
    - Clicking the heading Report a Problem and then clicking Report a Problem
  4. Select the transaction ID you want to dispute and click Continue.
  5. Select "Item dispute," then click Continue.
  6. Follow the instructions.

Here's how to report unauthorized transactions:

  1. Log in to your PayPal Account.

  4. Select the transaction ID you want to dispute and click Continue.
  5. Select "Unauthorized transaction" then click Continue.
  6. Follow the instructions.
