What does Virtual Terminal do when a customer's address can't be verified?

If an Address Verification System (AVS) error occurs with Virtual Terminal, it might be due to out-of-date information in the customer's credit card company's database. For example, an error might occur if the customer changed their address recently. Some credit card companies can take up to six months to update customer data.

A Virtual Terminal payment is rejected by default if the AVS match result is C, E, N, or I. It is not rejected if the customer is international or AVS is unavailable.

AVS, CVV2, and payment advice response codes.
