Where can I find PayPal's currency exchange rates?

To check our exchange rates:

  1. Go to your Wallet page.
  2. Click Currency Calculator.
To convert money in your balance:
  1. Go to your Wallet page.
  2. Click the options icon beside the currency you want to convert.
  3. Click Convert currency. (You'll need to have an available balance to progress.)
  4. Select the currency you want and then click Next.
  5. Enter the amount you want to convert and click Next.
  6. Review the details and if you want to proceed, click Convert Now.
Before making a payment that requires a currency conversion, we'll show you our exchange rate. If you’re using a credit card, you can choose your card issuer's exchange rate instead of ours. However, your card issuer determines the rate so we won’t be able to display it to you.

Use the converter below to get an indication of the currency conversion rate that you may receive when using PayPal for transactions.

Numbers and decimal point only

Buying and paying transactions are:

(i) Paying for goods or services in a currency other than the currency the goods or services are listed in.

(ii) Sending money to a friend or family member such that they receive a different currency from the currency you pay in.

(iii) Sending money using PayPal’s Payouts or Masspay products such that your recipients receive a different currency from the currency you pay in.


Other fees may apply. Rate is calculated at the time a transaction is processed.
