What if the name on my PayPal account and bank account are different?
To make successful withdrawal, the name on your PayPal account should match the name on your bank account.
If the name on your bank account differs in any way, check with your bank to make sure that transfers will go through. If they won’t, you’ll need to update the name on your bank account or the name on your PayPal account.
You can update your PayPal account name if it's misspelled or if you've legally changed your name. However, it is not possible to change the name on your account to another person's name. You may be required to submit some documentation. If so, we’ll review them within 3 to 5 business days and contact you once our review is complete.
