How do I request a refund for a donation?
Personal
PayPal Giving Fund partners with organizations such as PayPal, Meta, GoFundMe, Deed, Twitch and many more to help charities raise funds and connect with new donors. Donations to PayPal Giving Fund are generally non-refundable. However, if your donation was made in error or wasn’t authorized by you, review our Donation Refund Policy to learn more.
Donors can use our Donation Tracker, linked in each PayPal Giving Fund donation receipt, to track the status of their donation.
- If your donation has been granted to your nominated charity, please contact the organization directly to request a refund.
- If your donation hasn’t been granted to your nominated charity and was made on PayPal’s website or app, please contact us.
If your donation is eligible for a refund, please note that any prior receipts received for a returned donation will become invalid. If you claimed a tax credit on a donation that is refunded to you, that credit may no longer be valid.
The same eligibility requirements apply for refunds on any of our partner platforms. For a donation that was made on GoFundMe, please contact GoFundMe directly to request a refund. To request a refund for a donation made on a Meta platform, please contact Meta.
