How do I create and manage PayPal subscriptions?

Please note: Product and feature availability may differ by market. In some countries, certain PayPal services may be available only for cross-border transactions, and receiving money with PayPal requires linking your account to a licensed local partner. Refer to What is the third-party partner service? for more information.

If you are a new customer in Nigeria please be sure to link to your partner bank to start receiving money.

The Subscriptions option allows you to create a recurring payment with our updated checkout. Buyers can now stay on your website to process payments to you via PayPal button, or Buyer Credit, or a Direct Card payment by keying in the card number. Plus, mobile users can set their Venmo App to allow them to send Venmo payments to your PayPal account. This is a significant advance from our Standard Button code; however, it is easy for a novice to follow the steps to create the code that you copy from PayPal and add to your website.

To create and manage PayPal subscriptions for your customers:    

  1. Go to Subscriptions.
  2. Click Create Plan or click on the Subscription you want to manage.
