How can I access the personal data PayPal holds about me?
You can access your personal data by logging into your PayPal account, then opening your Account Settings (the cog icon), and from the Data & Privacy menu click Download your data. This is an automated service and the fastest way to receive access to your information, currently available only for personal and premier account holders in the US, UK and countries in the European Union (EU). If you are a PayPal account holder from countries other than the US, UK and EU, or a business account holder, please use the Contact us link to request a copy of your data.
If you want access to specific types of data, not included in the list of information we automatically provide, please use the Contact us link to request for the same.
If you do not have an account, submit a request by pressing the “I can’t login or I don’t have an account” via the Help Centre - please note though that this will require verification of your identity before PayPal can assist you.
We only disclose personal data to the owner of that data or to a party authorized by the account holder. We can usually authenticate you as the account holder when you log into your account, but we reserve the right to disallow access to data if we’re unable to verify your identity, if there’s a conflicting legal obligation, or if doing so would put PayPal or other parties at risk. To ensure the security of your personal data, in these very specific and infrequent cases, we’ll conduct reasonable Identity and verification checks to make sure you are the account holder.
Please Contact us if you have further questions about access to the personal data PayPal holds on you.
You can learn more about your privacy rights in PayPal Privacy Hub.
