What are subscriptions and how do these work?

A subscription is a regularly recurring payment. You authorize the seller to debit a fixed amount from your account once a week/month/year. Before setting this up, you will be informed about the number of recurring payments the subscription covers.

You can use your PayPal account to stop a subscription. Here's how:

  1. Go to your Settings.
  2. Click Payments.
  3. Click Manage pre-approved payments.
  4. Click the name of the merchant and then Cancel.
  5. Click Yes to confirm.

We recommend you cancel the subscription one day ahead of the next planned payment. If you cancel the subscription on the same day the payment is planned, this doesn't guarantee the payment won't be debited.

If you remove a payment method (credit card or bank account) that you used for your subscription, the subscription will be canceled automatically. You need to contact the seller to set up the subscription again.

Also contact the seller in relation to any other issues with your subscription, or to request a refund. Canceling a payment doesn't cancel your contract with the merchant. You need to pay the merchant for any goods or services you already received.
