Contributing to a Pool

How do I contribute to a Pool?
Contributing to a Pool is easy. Just click Contribute on the Pool page. 

Your contribution will be sent in the default currency of the organizer. Read more details about international payments.

Your contribution, name and picture (if applicable) will be added to the list of contributors on the Pool page. You must consent to have your details displayed and they will only be displayed if you chose to do so. Only the organizer will be able to see your full details. Note that no rights arise in these contributions. Please be sure to know the person that you are sending the payment to.

Why am I asked if I’m buying Goods and Services when sending a Pool payment?
To ensure that if you’re buying something from a merchant, you’ll get your eligible items covered by PayPal Buyer Protection.

What are the fees for contributing to a Pool?
Contributions are personal payments and the fees for personal payments apply.

Can I get a refund for a contribution I made to a Pool?
If you need a refund, please contact the Pool’s organizer to arrange. Please note that your contribution is a personal payment and is not eligible for PayPal Buyer Protection.

Here’s how to find the organizer’s contact information:

  1. On the Summary page, select the transaction you want to cancel.
  2. Use the organizer’s contact information to send them an email.

Where can I check my Pool’s progress?
To check on the amount you collected for a specific Pool, go to your Pool page on the Summary page.
