How do I create a Website Payments Pro Hosted Solution account in the Sandbox?

The Website Payments Pro Hosted solution is currently supported in accounts for the following countries:
  • Australia
  • France
  • Hong Kong
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • Singapore
  • Spain
  • United Kingdom
 

Create a PayPal Sandbox Business account

Here's how:

  1. Log in to the PayPal Developer Portal.
  2. Click Dashboard.
  3. Click Accounts under Sandbox.
  4. Click Create Account.
  5. Select (under Country) the country for which you want to test your Website Payments Pro Hosted Solution.
  6. Set Bank Verified Account to Yes.
  7. Complete the rest of the form. Note: You can use any name for the account, so you don't need to select Login with PayPal.
  8. Click Create Account.
 

Verify your PayPal Sandbox Business account

Here's how:

  1. Log in to the PayPal Sandbox using the email address and password from the account you created.
  2. Click Unverified on the main My Account Overview page.
  3. Click Add Bank Account on the Get Verified and Lift Sending Limits page.
  4. Complete the fields with fictitious information. The numbers in the Sort Code and Account Number fields must be unique.
  5. Click Continue, then click Add Bank Account to add the test account.
  6. Navigate to the Set-up Bank Funding page and click Continue.
  7. Click Submit. 
 

Apply for and open your Website Payments Pro UK Sandbox account

Here's how:

  1. Click Products & Services In your Sandbox account.
  2. Select PayPal Payments Pro (Website Payments Pro in some markets) under Ways to get paid.
  3. Click Get started for free.
  4. Click Continue for free to start the application form.
  5. Complete the Business Information section by entering fictitious information.
  6. Click Agree and Continue.
  7. Check both Advanced Fraud Management Filters and Recurring Payments, then click Continue.
  8. Click Continue to My Account (on the Your application has been submitted page) to open your new Website Payments Pro UK Sandbox account.
