What if I use the Issue Refund link, but I don't have the total amount available in my PayPal balance?
When you send a refund using the Issue Refund link, we deduct the total amount of your refund from your PayPal balance.
If your PayPal balance does not cover the refund:
- If you have a confirmed bank account, we'll withdraw the amount of the refund from your bank account.
- If you don't have a confirmed bank account, you won't be able to issue the refund until you add money to your PayPal balance.
The status of a refund that's issued from your bank account is "Pending" until the transaction is complete. Depending on the bank, it can take 3 to 5 business days for funds to clear.
