Money was taken from my PayPal account by a merchant. How did this happen?

You may have entered into a Payment Agreement with PayPal allowing this merchant to withdraw funds from your PayPal account.

To see which Payment Agreements are in effect for your PayPal account:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Click Payments.
  3. Click Manage Payments under "Manage your payments".
  4. Click Update in the “My pre-approved payments” section.
  5. Select the merchant name to view the details of the agreement.

Note: If you did not enter into an agreement, report the problem to the Resolution Centre.
