Money was taken from my PayPal account by a merchant. How did this happen?

You may have entered into a Payment Agreement with PayPal allowing this merchant to withdraw funds from your PayPal account.

To see which Payment Agreements are in effect for your PayPal account:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click the Profile icon near the top of the page.
  3. Click Payments.
  4. Click Manage Payments under "Manage your payments".
  5. Click Update in the “My pre-approved payments” section.
  6. Select the merchant name to view the details of the agreement.

Note: If you did not enter into an agreement, report the problem to the Resolution Centre.
