Money was taken from my PayPal account by a merchant. How did this happen?
You may have entered into a Payment Agreement with PayPal allowing this merchant to withdraw funds from your PayPal account.
To see which Payment Agreements are in effect for your PayPal account:
- Log in to your account.
- Click the Profile icon near the top of the page.
- Click Payments.
- Click Manage Payments under "Manage your payments".
- Click Update in the “My pre-approved payments” section.
- Select the merchant name to view the details of the agreement.
Note: If you did not enter into an agreement, report the problem to the Resolution Centre.
