How will PayPal let me know when a payment is under Payment Review?

You'll receive an email letting you know that a payment is under Payment Review and another email when the review is complete. You'll also find this information on the Transaction Details page.

If you use PayPal Instant Payment Notification (IPN) or an API, the payment appears as Pending with reason of Payment Review. We'll send another IPN notification when the Payment Review is complete. You can also check for an updated status by API.

The review can take up to 24 hours.
