How do I remove the limitation on my account?
If your account is limited, it means that you won’t be able to do certain things with your PayPal account, such as sending or withdrawing money.
Most of the time, you can fix this by visiting the Resolution Centre and providing some information.
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click Resolve a problem in our Resolution Centre near the bottom of the page for instructions on removing the account limitation.
If you’ve completed the suggested steps and your account is still limited, it means one of 2 things:
- We need more information, and we've sent you an email asking for it, so check your email for our message; or
- We're reviewing the information you provided and will email you with an update (usually within 3 business days).
If you’ve completed the requested actions in the Resolution Centre, and have waited a few days, but you haven’t received a reply from PayPal, you can contact customer service by clicking Help at the bottom of any page. You can then either call or email us.
