How do I open a dispute?

Here's how to file a dispute:

  1. Log in to your PayPal account and go to the Resolution Centre.
  2. Click the heading Report a Problem and then click Report a Problem.
  3. Select the transaction ID you want to dispute and click Continue.
  4. Select "Item dispute", then click Continue.
  5. Follow the instructions.

Here's how to report unauthorised transactions:

  1.  Log in to your PayPal account and go to the Resolution Centre.
  2. You will have the option of:
    - Clicking Dispute a Transaction, or
    - Clicking the heading Report a Problem and then clicking Report a Problem.
  3. Select the transaction ID you want to dispute and click Continue.
  4. Select 'Unauthorized transaction' then click Continue.
  5. Follow the instructions .
